No Met Office warnings midweek — Thames alert area quiet; 2024 air quality under limits
Met Office showed no UK warnings for 28 October–3 November 2026 at check time. The Environment Agency tidal Thames alert from Putney to Teddington reported no remaining flood threat. 2024 annual NO₂ and PM₂.₅ means at monitored sites stayed within objectives.
Data as of: Met Office warnings and Environment Agency flood API checked 28 Oct 2026. Air quality annual means: 2024 ASR.
At the time we checked on 28 October 2026, the Met Office UK warnings board listed no warnings for Wednesday 28 October through Tuesday 3 November (the site also noted possible data issues — always re-check before travel).
The Environment Agency flood monitoring API still listed the tidal Thames riverside alert area from Putney Bridge to Teddington Weir (which includes riverside stretches in Hammersmith & Fulham), but the live message said there was no longer a threat of flooding and similar impacts were not expected from the next high tide. Flood status can change with every tide cycle.
On air quality, the 2024 Annual Status Report figures we carry show the Shepherds Bush roadside monitor (HF4) at 34 µg/m³ annual mean NO₂ and 9 µg/m³ PM₂.₅ — both within the relevant objectives cited in that report. Other local monitors were also at or below those objectives for 2024.
